I literally just did this 10 minutes ago so I don't exactly know if its free from viruses, but its an app built for x86 and the M1 is arm if that says something. While the installer's doing its thing, you're gonna have to wait in the system preferences > security > general tab, because it'll pop open another executable that you'll have to allow twice, I forgot what its called. Make sure to do it with wifi disabled, because if you don't it'll ping adobe servers when it opens after installing. dmg to right click and show package contents, then open the folder called MacOS and click the install command. Someone else suggested to use this link in a different thread which worked for me: I guess Adobe Zii will release new versions in the futur, and also I know that Adobe are working on native apps for M1 so for now it’s the best solution I got, but it might change soon. Personally I wont try to play with the devil so I’m letting internet access disabled. Those two way worked for me, so I guess you’ll find a way to make it work for you too.ġ/ Yes, you can replace the Photoshop app icon, with the latest one, in order to match the icon with new Adobe’s apps iconsĢ/ NO, you cannot rename Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 app, in fact, don’t change anything but the icon.ģ/ I use Radio Silence, that way Creative Cloud can’t access internet, but, I tried to open Photoshop and Illustrator with Internet accessible and it seems to work fine. This will reactivate the security that we disabled at the beginning. Once you’ve checked that everything is working fine, you open Terminal and copy/paste this : sudo spctl -master-enable Get the last version of Adobe Zii here : ĭrag Illustrator app into it, same way as you did with Photoshop Go to the Creative Cloud app and download Illustrator You do want to verify it’s patched by opening Photoshop (it may take a while at the first lanch, as Rosetta translates the app), going into ‘Help’ and checking if you see ‘K’ed by TNT team’ You’ll have to enter your admin password. Once it’s done, open Adobe Zii 2019 4.4.2 and drag the Photoshop App into it (the app, not the package). Don’t worry, just right-click on it and go to ‘show package contents’ then ‘MacOS’ and ‘Install’ You may face an issue trying to open the Install package by double-clicking on it. All newer ones are crashing.īoth install package and Adobe Zii 2019 4.4.2 are included This operation allows you to launch downloaded apps without having to authorize them everytime (it saves time and trust me you don’t want to complicate things !) Then, open Terminal and copy/paste this : sudo spctl -master-disable Ok guys, so I’ve been trying to install Photoshop and Illustator on my new Macbook Pro 2020 M1 chip, and it’s been a p*in in the *ss BUT I did it.įirst of all, you’ll need to download Creative Cloud from here : and install it.
